Syncing Gluu users with Database

Hi, We are looking to implement a Single Sign On solution using Gluu. Our first step is to sync Gluu users with users from a DB. We're not sure how to go about doing this, or the steps that would be involved as most documentation we have found is relating to LDAP, any help is appreciated. Thanks, Hannah
