can I integrate Gluu to a MySQL database for authentication with password encrypted in database.

I think I am not sure about your question. Here are couple of hints: - Are you planning to use 'external LDAP' for storing Gluu Server's all information ( not only user's information but also configuration ). - Are you planning to use 'external LDAP' as userBase? In Cache Refresh, what we call 'backend LDAP/AD' server?

Thanks. In that case, there is nothing specially we can provide from Gluu support. It should be really simple and based on your organization policy. We are using [Symas openldap](https://symas.com/) in our Gluu Server; you can also use that and load data there.

Does it mean cache refresh is required? Do we need to synchronize data to Gluu internal LDAP to use external LDAP. Please confirm.
