https://support.gluu.org/access-management/9297/unable-to-add-new-client-only-protected-ressource-are-allowed/ In the ticket above, it was meantioned that this WAR fixes the issue but updating to 4.2.3 does not seem to include the fix (i still can not add a client with the same error message) After updating to 4.2.3, I still can not add a openID client. Do i need to still add the WAR 4.2.2sp1 over top of the 4.2.3 update, or is there something else going on. Do you know what logs would cover the failure to add the openID client?

could you tell me what logs you want in debug? I'm not sure what a log would tell you about which file is installed when your use a `yum update gluu-server` or what bug fixes are loaded into that release. So i would need some specific information about which logs you want.

I think you didn't follow the proper process. To upgrade gluu-server you have to follow the documentation for the the corresponding version. **yum update gluu-server** is not the command to do it. Please follow the documentation. Closing this ticket now as it is out of scope.
