Continuation of this ticket: https://support.gluu.org/view/customization/logo-upload-not-working/1725 I finally have a working install of CE 2.1. Logo uploads via the interface are still not working. To verify that my image size and type is NOT the problem, I downloaded a copy of the default gluu logo image, and then uploaded it using the interface, and got the same result. I also tried in both firefox and chrome. Neither worked.

Paul, I just tested with a couple logos without issue... dimensions were 240 x 160 and 200 x 54... Have you tried other image sizes? Are you getting an error message?

No, there is no visible error message, but when the browser goes to fetch the image it gets a 404 not found in the backend. But to illustrate my point, these support forums use your very own gluu server for authentication. https://idp.gluu.org They have a logo in the upper left, that uses this image: https://idp.gluu.org/oxauth/img/logo.png But when I download this image, and upload it to my own gluu server using the interface, it does not work. After extensive testing using images found on google: https://www.google.com/search?q=logo&biw=1366&bih=643&tbm=isch&source=lnt&tbs=isz:ex,iszw:240,iszh:160#q=logo&tbs=isz:ex,iszw:240,iszh:160,ic:trans&tbm=isch&imgrc=UCczZ5BdS1G5TM%253A%3BTVdTUECv9j-plM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fimg3.wikia.nocookie.net%252F__cb20150202113759%252Flogopedia%252Fimages%252F7%252F73%252FLogo-ee.png%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Flogos.wikia.com%252Fwiki%252FFile%253ALogo-ee.png%3B240%3B160 I have determined that the interface does not work with images that have transparency. I think this is ludicrous seeing as the default logo definitely has transparency, and you on your very own idp.gluu.org has managed to use an image that also has transparency, but any image I try to upload that has transparency does not work.

Okay so, the logo on the login page for idp.gluu.org is a bad example because that looks like its just using custom html to put that there, and on the backend its using the default logo, but I think you get the idea.

Also, size does not appear to make any difference at all, seeing as I can upload images of this size without any issue at all: http://hdwallpapersfactory.com/wallpaper_1920x1080/department_of_bokehland_security_desktop_2560x1600_wallpaper-384067.jpg

Ok, so: 1) The logo upload in the interface only changes the logo inside the interface. I think you're clear on that. 2) In order to customize the exterior pages, you need to edit the page css as discussed in the docs: [design customizations](http://www.gluu.org/docs/admin-guide/custom-look/) AFAIK, out of the box the log in page doesn't display any logo. 3) I see what you're saying re: transparent logos. I just tested a few and only get an image icon. I'll open an issue on github to address this. But can't you just upload a non-transparent image? Github Issue [here](https://github.com/GluuFederation/oxTrust/issues/50)

1&2) Right, because there isn't a logo on the login page normally without changing the xhtml file. As I said, bad example. 3) All I've been told is to "try a different image" which hasn't been terribly helpful because all of my logo images are transparent, and because the original logo is a transparent png, it did not initially occur to me that it would be the problem. In the end I have converted one of my transparent pngs to a non-transparent jpeg and it works fine. If for whatever reason you can't fix the problem, I'd suggest putting somewhere (preferably on the interface) some sort of message stating that it should work with non-transparent images (at least it appears to work for non-transparent pngs and jpegs).

Yea, sorry for the confusion. Enabling the use of files with transparent backgrounds should be a quick fix. I'm assigning it now so that hopefully it will be supported in the next release. I'll close this ticket out for now. Keep them coming as you see issues / bugs. We appreciate all your testing!
