can not start ldap server

Hello. Today I add a new attribute with following [this instrucation](https://gluu.org/docs/ce/3.0.1/admin-guide/attribute/) after I stop `solserver` and test custom configuration `/opt/symas/bin/slaptest -f /opt/symas/etc/openldap/slapd.conf` the result is `config file testing succeeded`. But I could not start `solserver`. I got the below error `Symas OpenLDAP LDAP services slapd starting... failed.` And this the error log ```` Sep 11 11:40:20 login slapd[20493]: @(#) $OpenLDAP: slapd 2.4.44 (Oct 20 2016 14:08:31) $#012#011root@NY1SCOLUB14BL01:/home/build/sold-2.4.44.20161020/build/openldap.amd64/servers/slapd Sep 11 11:40:20 login slapd[20494]: unable to open pid file "/var/symas/run/slapd.pid": 13 (Permission denied) Sep 11 11:40:20 login slapd[20494]: slapd stopped. Sep 11 11:40:20 login slapd[20494]: connections_destroy: nothing to destroy. ````

Hi, Sakit. Doesn't seem like it's directly related to the attribute you added. You should try to google for similar OpenLDAP issues. But first try to revert your changes and see whether it will resolve it, and if it will, try to reproduce the issue again.

Hi Aliaksandr, actually I keeped orginal file so after this issue I used orginal file but does not work. I could not start `solserver`. I also googled but could not find anything about this.

Sakit, Are you trying to start ldap server as user 'root' ?

yes mohib I start ldap as root. but I could not solve the problem and uninstall/install server again

I've followed procedures of adding new attribute multiple times, and can't remember such issue at all. Unless you can share steps which allow to reproduce it, I'm not sure we can do anything here at the moment.

Thank you very much Aliaksandr. As I told I already uninstall and install server again. I will try again add new attributes. If i get the same error again I will share all steps
