Hello, I have opened [this ticket](https://support.gluu.org/other/3902/external-log-forwarding/) approx 1 year ago so I'm just checking if there has been any change regarding the way external logging is configured? Or if we still need to do : unpacking war files / modifying log4j2.xml / repacking war files / restarting services ? We're now running 3.1.3. Thanks

Hello Cedric, Most probably it's still same. Do you think you can open a feature request here please: https://github.com/GluuFederation/community-edition-setup We will evaluate and try to implement it in future version.

> Do you think you can open a feature request here please Sure, but I have no idea how to do that from the GitHub page.

By the way, I was able to configure external logging by modifying the log4j2.xml file inside the war file for the oxauth and identity modules. But I could not do it for the idp module. There is no log4j2.xml file inside /opt/gluu/jetty/idp/webapps/idp.war. So how can we forward idp logs? Same question for the openldap module (solserver). There is nothing in /opt/gluu/jetty for that service. Thanks

Hello Cedric, >> But I could not do it for the idp module. There is no log4j2.xml file inside /opt/gluu/jetty/idp/webapps/idp.war. So how can we forward idp logs? IDP's login config file is: /opt/shibboleth-idp/conf/logback.xml OpenLDAP should be configured from slapd.conf or something like that.
