What license? There is no commercial license for any component included in the Gluu Server.

so to get openidconnect working – I guess I need to install the oxd-server on a different box – correct ??

No, Thomas. The Gluu Server exposes OpenID Connect endpoints for applications. oxd is one of many available options you have for implementing OpenID Connect in your apps.
