I am trying to installing Gluu-1.0-CEblank.el6.x86_64.rpm (dated 22-Sep-2014) on centos 6.5 for a POC. * I first noticed that there is a discrepancy between the /install/setup.py script 'hostname' and the response file setup.properties 'hostName'. * The /install/setup.py script does not run cleanly and outputs several errors which means the install does not complete successfully. * There is a syntax error in /etc/init.d/gluu-server - the start function is missing 'su' for the second chroot command. * After the failed install /etc/init.d/gluu-server reports the server starting correctly but there are no listening processes. Is this the RPM I should be using to get the latest CE version? The other option is GLUU-1.0.5-CE.el6.x86_64.rpm which is from 12-Aug-2014. Would it be better to use the .deb package on Ubuntu?

We are about to release a new RPM install package for Centos, which fixes a number of deployment issues. If you can wait until next week, I think it will be worth the wait.

Andrew, just a heads up, the new CE package has been released for centos: [http://www.gluu.org/docs/admin-guide/installation/centos/](http://www.gluu.org/docs/admin-guide/installation/centos/) I'm going to close this ticket for now. Please feel free to open another ticket if needed.
