After installing the gluu server (2.3.3.Final) for the first time on an Ubuntu Server 14.04.3 fresh install, navigating to the gluu server I get a blank screen. On the network tab under developer tools, I see a 404 error when it tries to load identity/. Not sure what's going on. Any help will be appreciated.

For tomcat, I allocated the default value of 1536 MB. For the VM, I allocated about 4GB. I added the VM server to my hosts file, but I may have done it wrong. My host OS is a Windows 7 box. I opened c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts, and added: 172.23.5.200 gluu.server which are the VM's ip address and the server name I configured. Does that look right?

I set it to `gluu.server`: `# cat setup.properties.last | grep hostname hostname=gluu.server ldap_hostname=localhost etc_hostname=/etc/hostname`

Alberto, Better use the default hostname (ce.gluu.info) for your first Gluu Server installation, it will save your time from tourbleshooting unnecessary troubles. And don't use localhost because, SSL can't run in localhost.

I still get the same error. Would running setup.py with the default hostname for a second time be enough or do I need to do anything differently?

Have you uninstalled your previous Gluu Server before moving for a new installation? If not... you have to. :-) Better, get a fresh VM and go for another installation from scratch.

So I kept the default hostname but also did something differently: choose `No` to `Update the hostname, hosts, and resolv.conf files?`. That seemed to work, so I decided to try a different hostname and still choose `No` to that question about updating hostname, etc. The result? It also worked. My question now is: what does choosing `Yes` to `Update the hostname, hosts, and resolv.conf files?` do? When would I need it? How would I make it work? Maybe that deserves creating a new question thread. Let me know. Thanks!
