dns names not resolving inside gluu

We cannot do smtp or ldap utilizing the dns names, only the IP address. From the Centos terminal I can ping, and smtp just fine by name and the dns servers are correct in the Gluu interface but for some reason they are not working.

Have you tried to put some DNS name servers in the /etc/resolv.conf file inside the container? I believe Google's DNS (8.8.8.8) should already be there right after installation, but may be it's blocked in your network, then you must put your own DNS servers there.

It was empty but I added our dns servers, which now allows us to do pings and telnet from within the container but still no luck with the GUI.

Please restart the Gluu service/tomcat, it should be ok after that.
