Issues post-reinstall of Gluu 2.4.3

Gluu Support Team - We've run into a post-deployment issue after re-installing Gluu Server 2.4.3. After encountering multiple issues getting SCIM UMA working (and following https://www.gluu.org/docs/integrate/scimuma-howto/), we believed a fresh install would be best. I uninstalled Gluu server per the "Ubuntu 14.04" guide (https://www.gluu.org/docs/deployment/ubuntu/) and reinstalled following the same steps. Upon starting the Gluu server, I was not able to login to the Admin GUI, and found these errors in oxtrust.log - 2016-05-27 00:15:11,923 ERROR [org.gluu.oxtrust.ldap.service.StatusCheckerTimer] check_ssl retuned an unexpected value 2016-05-27 00:16:12,931 ERROR [org.gluu.oxtrust.ldap.service.StatusCheckerTimer] There was an error executing command check_ssl I've followed the steps in this issue (https://github.com/GluuFederation/oxTrust/issues/238) with no change. Is there something else we're missing? This was a reinstall with all prior data removed - is this common?

If you can't login to your Gluu Server, the reason is there in oxauth.log. Please feel free to share stack trace from that log.

Is this expected from a fresh install? I don't show any data in oxauth.log from that time period. For a development deployment (with no certificates), is it best to follow these steps to generate self-signed certs and import them? (https://www.gluu.org/docs/integrate/ubuntu-installation/)
