The installation procedure for Ubuntu platform -- the both versions 14.04 and 16.04 -- does not cover the rc.d scripts update. The result is that gluu-server-3.0.1 service does not start after server reboot. The installation guide has to mention that the following command has to be executed: $ update-rc.d gluu-server-3.0.1 defaults

Hello Jozef, We didn't cover RC updates on .debs because post install section of the package is doing that, in your case that didn't work? also which version of gluu-server are you using? Cheers, Adrian.-

I'm using 3.0.1 right now -- it is not listed in the appropriate selection box when ticket is created, and value for "other" is apparently not visible. The behavior is same for 3.0.0. Apparently, the installation process does not do the job as expected: there is "gluu-server-3.0.1" init script in {{/etc/init.d}} directory, but there are no corresponding K/S symlinks in {{/etc/rc?.d}} directories.

I think this is out of scope of the Gluu Server. Just like any service, a customer may or may not decide to start it automatically. You can use `chkconfig` or `update-rc.d` post installation to make it happen.
