csync2 Clustering Support in Gluu 3.0.1

Hello, I noticed in the documentation that "Cluster Configuration" instructions are missing for Gluu 3.0.1. Is using the File System Replication (namely csync2) steps from v2.4.4 still officially supported for v3.0.1? In other words, I understand that the new OpenLDAP server used for persistence will now require new steps for replication, but does everything else regarding clustering still apply to v3.0.1 as it did for v2.4.4? Thank you!

Hey Jason, The csync2 clustering strategy actually does not apply to 3.x. We're nearly finished with the clustering strategy for 3.x. It should be ready to use soon. I can update you when it's ready for use if you'd like? Thanks for your patience. Will

Hi Will, Will this feature be announced in the roadmap schedules or somewhere? If there's a page for me to look out for I don't necessarily need a direct ping since we're all busy people :) Do you think it will be available before CE 3.1.0 (ETA: July 30, 2017) ? I am not asking for an exact date, just would like to get a good feel for when it'll be ready. Thank you for the super fast reply! -Jason

Yes, it will be available before 3.1. We're beta testing now. Let me chat with the developers to get a realistic time frame.

Hello, Is it only possible to install cluster manager on Ubuntu? We have Gluu servers installed on CentOS and RHEL. Thanks

Currently cluster manager needs to be installed on Ubuntu. But it can be used to cluster gluu servers that are on CentOS and RHEL. Feel free to open a new ticket with us if you run into any trouble. Thanks, Will
