OpenLDAP Service (SOLSERVER) unable to start after installation

Hi Gluu Team, After installing Gluu 3.1.3, i tried to access the Gluu Web Admin but failed so i checked the Gluu services and found out that solserver is not running (https://pasteboard.co/Hoiggb0.png). Then after i tried to start the service and the result is this (https://pasteboard.co/HoifpmG.png). Any inputs are highly appreciated. Thanks and Good day.

Hi Jean, There is an important library that is missing on your CentOS 6.8: the `libc.so.6(glibc_2.14)(64bit)` library. Unfortunately there is no such package for Centos6, you can verified at the link below: * https://pkgs.org/download/libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.14)(64bit) It seems like you have installed ** EPEL 7.0 repository** on this Centos 6.8 . Try to remove that, it should normally fix that issue. And test again.

Hi Thomas, Sorry for the delay. I've done reinstalling Gluu and i've got the same result. Here's the server's epel info https://pasteboard.co/HosZ6jI.png and https://pasteboard.co/HosZxcN.png. Any other inputs to check or something. Thanks and Good day.

Hi, Try to install the Centos7 version and let's see the output. https://pkgs.org/download/libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.14)(64bit)

Hi Thomas, I can't install Centos7. It's impossible for now since it is setup as Centos6.8 and there is DB server working already. Actually, I have working Gluu 3.1.2 prior to installing Gluu 3.1.3. That's why i'm wondering. Anyways, any other inputs to check or something with Centos6.8. Thanks

Hi Thomas, Yes, there was a working Gluu 3.1.2 on the server but i uninstall it before installing Gluu 3.1.3. We want to migrate and try the Gluu 3.1.3. Here's the steps made in the server 1. Install Gluu 3.1.2 (Working fine) 2. Install MySQL (Working fine with this version https://pasteboard.co/HozGCLX.png) 3. Uninstall Gluu 3.1.2 4. Install Gluu 3.1.3 (SOLSERVER failed to start) Thanks

Hi, As we already know what is the root(`missing libc.so.6(glibc_2.14)(64bit)`) cause of that behavior, our suggestion for you is that you browser google and apply provide solution. So you can search on google **How to install libc.so.6(glibc_2.14)(64bit) on Centos6.8**. Thanks.

Hi Thomas, I've found a way to install the glibc_2.14 library and they suggest that i installed it along with the current glibc_2.12 library because it might break the OS (see here https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/176489/how-to-update-glibc-to-2-14-in-centos-6-5). Then I've installed Gluu 3.1.3 and i got same result. I think when i installed gluu it picked-up the glibc_2.12 library. Do you have any inputs on this. Thanks.
