Hi, I want to know if there is any way to do a hot backup of Gluu (without having to stop the service). Also, how do I change the hostname of Gluu Server? Thanks!

Hi, Maximiliano. 1. Unfortunately, at the moment Gluu doesn't provide an easy way to change neither hostname, nor ip address or port of a live instance. It seems our FAQ doesn't mention the part about hostname, it will be corrected. You are advised to plan it beforehand so you wouldn't need to change it. 2. I'll need to sync up with the current best practices about backup, but our usual answer to that has been that you should stop it and backup the whole vm. But hot backup of a running instance may be tricky. You should take into account that Gluu accesses its own LDAP directory (which is OpenDJ) constantly; according to [this doc](http://www.identityfusion.com/unlocking-the-mystery-behind-the-opendj-user-database/) OpenDJ uses the [Berkeley DB](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berkeley_DB) Java Edition database as its backend repository, so the question is will you be able to ensure its consistency at the moment you'll be taking your snapshot. May be OpenDJ's docs will provide some info on that. I'll do some inquiries too, meanwhile. Regards, Alex.
