Interesting issue. We're not Nextcloud experts, so we probably didn't look at this feature. We'll have a look. It may take us some time... be patient.

Hi, So to be clear, what you did was spin up a new gluu server CE instance, spin up a nextcloud instance, enabled the gluu plugin for nextcloud, registered it as a client with gluu server, then created a user, logged out the local user, then logged in with the newly created gluu federated identity. Is that correct? You must then give that new federated identity the role of 'admin' in nextcloud. Then, once that new user is an admin, try enabling or adding an app. Changing something within the admin console of nextcloud. It(nextcloud) will prompt you to enter your password. What i am finding is that from this scenario, that nextcloud password prompt is not authenticating me with my Gluu created users' password. Meaning, the password that i used to authenticate into Nextcloud with is not being accepted at the admin console password prompt when a change is made. -evan

Any update on this? I am not sure what additional detail i can provide on the issue. The admin console password prompt, when a change is made as an admin user, is not accepting my federated identities password from gluu. However, i won't rule out that this might be a nextcloud issue. I just thought i would first attack it from a gluu perspective. This is preventing me from really rolling out the use of Gluu within my org. Also, a separate issue, the gluu authentication does not work with the nextcloud iphone and android app. That auth talks directly to the nextcloud instance for auth and does not appear to be making any re-direct, but that is a separate issue and i will file a separate ticket for that. -evan

Hi Evan, Sorry for the late reply. We were trying to reproduce the issue on different situations. However we were not able to reproduce this. Hi Jajati, Thanks for the reply. Do you know of any plans for you guys to release a version of the plugin for nextcloud 12? Thats the version that i'd really like to use, but the gluu plugin only states support for 11. -evan
