Hi, I am trying to access the admin backend pages for a Gluu 2.4.1 installation on Ubuntu 14.04 we had installed a while ago. When I try to log in with the admin user, the page seems to be reloaded indefinitely, each time replacing the token in the URL sent to the server. Is this a common issue and what can be done to restore admin ui access?

No, that's really strange. One suggestion: clear the cookies in your browser for the hostname of your server. Its possible you have some weird stuff in your browser.

Thank you for the quick response. I tried on a browser on another machine with the same result. I will check whether the logs contain any suspicious errors.

I have found the error - not related to Gluu. For others searching for this, the error occurred, because a required intermediate certificate had not been added to the Java keystore used by the JDK installation that is used by Gluu. Adding the intermediate key to the cacerts file resolves the issue. Please feel free to close the issue (it looks like I can't do it myself?).
