Backup question #2

Hi, I used this documentation to perform an online backup, https://gluu.org/docs/ce/3.1.3.1/operation/backup/ I have this issue: `[root@auth ~]# sudo /opt/opendj/bin/export-ldif --port 4444 --hostname localhost --bindDN "cn=Directory Manager" --bindPassword <PasswordAdmin> --includeBranch o=gluu --backendID userRoot --ldifFile /backups/backup_o_gluu_data.ldif --trustA ll Export task 20190424110023722 scheduled to start immediately [24/Apr/2019:11:00:23 -0400] severity="NOTICE" msgCount=0 msgID=org.opends.messages.backend-413 message="Export task 20190424110023722 started execution" [24/Apr/2019:11:00:23 -0400] severity="INFORMATION" msgCount=1 msgID=org.opends.messages.tool-1662 message="Exporting to /backups/backup_o_gluu_data.ldif" [24/Apr/2019:11:00:23 -0400] severity="ERROR" msgCount=2 msgID=org.opends.messages.tool-59 message="An error occurred while attempting to process the LDIF export: java.io.IOException: Permission denied" [24/Apr/2019:11:00:23 -0400] severity="NOTICE" msgCount=3 msgID=org.opends.messages.backend-414 message="Export task 20190424110023722 finished execution in the state Stopped by error"` I test ldapsearch, works fine

Hi, Sorry, but in your documentation you haven't the `online` backup solution. I'm in version 3.1.3.1 May you give me an `online` solution for this version please? It's not possible to perform `online` backup in version 3.1.6? Thanks

Hi, The on-line backup version is not recommended in any version. We prefer the off-line method. Please set hours during night or weekends and preform the backup as shown in the doc provided. It has been tested. It should not take you a long time to do so. Also validation and indexing is also shown in the case you have issues with your indexes. Thanks.

It's ok for me. I had to use /tmp/backup_o_gluu_data.ldif Instead of /backups/backup_o_gluu_data.ldif Permission issue Thank you
